Facility Security Officer (Top Secret Cleared)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facility Security Officer (FSO) to oversee and manage the security operations of our facility. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in security management, a strong understanding of regulatory compliance, and excellent leadership skills. This role ensures the safety and security of the facility, employees, and company assets, while maintaining compliance with all relevant laws and standards. Active Top Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities:

• Security Program Management
• Develop, implement, and maintain the facility's security policies, procedures, and practices.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal security regulations, including NISPOM, ICD, or other applicable standards.
• Risk Assessment & Mitigation
• Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for the facility.
• Identify and address potential security threats or breaches, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Personnel Security
• Manage personnel security clearance processes and maintain accurate records.
• Conduct background checks and investigations as required.
• Facility Operations
• Oversee access control systems, surveillance equipment, and security systems.
• Coordinate with external vendors for maintenance of security-related equipment.
• Training & Awareness
• Provide security training to employees and contractors, ensuring awareness of security protocols.
• Develop and distribute security-related materials, including emergency response plans.
• Incident Response
• Investigate security breaches, incidents, or violations, and prepare detailed reports.
• Coordinate with law enforcement or other authorities during security-related events.
• Compliance & Documentation
• Maintain security-related records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Prepare for and facilitate audits and inspections as needed.
• Leadership
• Supervise and guide the facility security team, providing mentorship and performance evaluations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for security-related matters.
