Inside the Role
This position is responsible for visually inspecting engine blocks to verify repairs by way of the established remanufacturing process. Primary responsibilities include removing caps, tapping head bolt holes, use of wash tank, use of inspection camera, and completing documentation.Innovative products begin with talented, highly motivated individuals. This position offers:
Starting pay of $20.70/hr. up to top pay of $29.21/hr.*
Quarterly gainsharing bonus potential
*additional shift differential for off-shifts

What You Drive at DTNA
Perform physically demanding manufacturing duties including: repetitive processes, moderate to heavy lifting, the use of machinery, and following standardized work procedures
Cleaning & inspection of engine blocks
Operate hoist, air tools, hand tools, torque wrenches, gauges, wash tank, and inspection camera.
Properly identify component parts by learning identification numbers
Adhere to established work rotation plan
Complete training matrix for each rotation position
Ability to read and understand Work Station Instructions
Other tasks and/or duties as requested
Actively participate in improving work area in terms of safety, quality, attendance, productivity, suggestion activities, housekeeping, and throughput
Install and assemble components for heavy-duty trucks
Use computer systems to access company data associated with the assembly process, utilize drawings, bills of materials and specification sheets in both electronic and hard copy
Operate the following tools and equipment: jigs and fixtures, hoist, air tools, hand tools, torque wrenches, gauges, wash tank, and inspection camera.
Knowledge You Should Bring
Must be capable of repetitive hand manipulation, grasping and supporting power & hand tools
Must be able to stand on concrete for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Must maintain a clean work area.
