The Global Graduate Program is a 2-year career-boosting program designed around your potential in our global organization! We offer two program tracks – Business and Tech – allowing both future business enablers and skilled engineers to thrive and develop with us.

What you'll do

As a tech track graduate, you will sharpen and apply your technical skills across multiple areas in the organization. 
Every year, Volvo Cars welcomes around 50 graduates from all over the world.  By joining the program, you become part of an inclusive community of a wide range of professionals and previous graduates. Throughout the program you will all come together for common module weeks, group projects, and learning opportunities. 
The first rotation for this program will be as a Shop Engineer in our Paint Shop.  Shop Engineers are responsible for implementing state of the art solutions in all projects, optimizing methods, processes and process flows to support Volvo Cars Manufacturing Systems.  

The rotational program takes you on a journey within Volvo cars where you get to explore your skills and interests in different departments during the two years. You will start in the department which you are recruited into.  Other opportunities within the technical track would be in our Manufacturing & Supply Chain business unit, spread across departments working with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Procurement, Logistics, Quality and Supplier Relations.

Year 1

• August 2025 Graduate Program kick off
• Module weeks 1: Global Introduction & Business Understanding 
• Rotation in your home department
• Module weeks 2: Product Development & Production 
• Rotation in new department
• Module weeks 3: Commercial Module
• Graduate group project

Year 2

• 2-3 Rotations in new department, opportunity for international experience
• Final Graduation project
• Module week 4: Leadership Foundations & Final week
• July 8, 2027 - Graduation

After the program you move into your permanent position in the company.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering field, Industrial Engineering preferred
• Master’s degree completed between December 2023 and start of the program required 
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• Statistical/Regression Analysis experience 
• Process improvement and optimization experience
• Analytical with the ability to drive results
• Project management experience preferred
• 6 Sigma experience preferred
• Line balancing, machine learning, productivity and capacity analysis experience preferred
• Enjoys working strategically and being hands-on
• Self-starter and self-guided
• Strong computer skills

Recruitment process 
This posting will be open until February 28th.  
Candidates selected will be invited to record short video interviews, if selected to move further in the process, candidates will complete an online assessment, followed by a virtual interview via Teams. The last step in the recruitment process is an onsite interview with the hiring manager and an HR representative. The final interviews will be conducted via Teams during January and February 2025. Employment offers are communicated continuously during March 2025.
