Job Summary:
The Ground Radars & Platforms Center within Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities seeks talented recent graduates to join our team as Systems Engineers supporting Integration, Verification, and Flight & Ground Test for an advanced Missile Defense Radar System.
We integrate hardware and software, develop test plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system interfaces and functions, and verify system requirements in support of final sell-off to our customers.
Every day has a different set of challenges to overcome. Whether in hardware, software, networking, or some combination of all three, you'll be stretched to learn about how our systems work and identify the sources of new and unexpected issues through lots of troubleshooting and data analysis. You'll be expected to collaborate across disciplines and partners to implement solutions. In this role, you'll get to know a little bit about every aspect of the system and have a direct hand in making it all work together supporting teams of engineers engaged in integration and test efforts across the program.
This position is an onsite role in Woburn, MA. Occasional travel between Raytheon facilities in Woburn MA is expected to support testing activities.
What You Will Do
- Perform data analysis of simulations, software, and radar hardware and utilize the results in support of Ground Test and Flight Test events
- Perform analysis of regression test of the radar software
- Document analysis results in reports and briefings for internal and external stakeholders
- Support engineering activities that include integration and test, modeling and simulation, requirements analysis, data analysis, and ground test and flight test data analysis
- Participate in key processes such as peer, gate, and test readiness reviews
What You Will Learn
- After completion of comprehensive on-the-job training, the candidate will be a part of a team supporting Systems Integration & Test activities across the product development lifecycle.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Systems engineering experience in troubleshooting technical issues with software or electronics systems and creating analysis tools and automating data sets
- Experience scripting using MATLAB, Python, C/C++, Linux, Unix, and/or other programming language
- This position requires 12 months or less of professional experience (excluding internships)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Knowledge of integration, verification, or radar operation concepts
- Experience with MATLAB, Linux Operating Systems, and Shell scripting and with integrating software with hardware/electronics
- Experience in developing and evaluating hardware and test requirements
- Knowledge of software, hardware, simulation, and configuration control
- Experience with creating test procedures, test scripts, and maintaining configuration control documentation
- Willingness to perform local and occasional non-local travel
- Experience assisting development of verification strategies for advanced radar capabilities and software builds, including building and executing simulated scenarios to predict sensor performance
