KING 5 is seeking a dynamic Lifestyle Host/Multimedia Journalist for our award-winning, locally produced entertainment and lifestyle show, “Evening”. This role requires shooting, writing, editing, and hosting skills to create compelling content that showcases the vibrant Pacific Northwest. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of one of Seattle's most beloved local entertainment shows.

Responsibilities:

• Shooting: Gather video of local events, restaurants, art exhibits, and human-interest stories. Demonstrate proficiency with various camera equipment and techniques to produce visually stunning content.
• Writing: Craft engaging scripts and narratives that bring Pacific Northwest stories to life. Develop a unique voice that resonates with our audience across multiple platforms.
• Editing: Edit polished, professional-quality packages. Use all the tools at your disposal to create visually dynamic stories. 

Additional Duties:

• Host and produce at least one Evening show per week and contribute to a weekly group show.
• Conceptualize, shoot, write, and edit multiple stories weekly, emphasizing innovative storytelling techniques.
• Produce and host quarterly 30-minute specials, showcasing advanced production skills.
• Pitch creative story ideas and show locations.
• Maintain an active social media presence to engage viewers.
• Help execute integrated sponsorship initiatives.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with various. departments
• Innovative approach to local content creation and community engagement.

Pay Range $40.04—$45.67 USD

Our 401(k) program offers full, part-time and temporary employees the opportunity to contribute 1% - 80% of their pay on a pre-tax basis to TEGNA’s 401(k). Contributions made up to the first 4% of pay are eligible for a 100% match from the company and are 100% vested from day one.

Regardless of participation in TEGNA medical plans, ALL employees and their eligible family members receive nine free virtual doctor’s appointments with a physician through Teladoc, and 12 free annual therapy sessions with a licensed clinician through Spring Health.
