Quality Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Technician

As a Global Quality (GQ) Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Technician L2 at Micron Technology Inc., you will perform machine maintenance and monitor data trends, and will repair, maintain, and troubleshoot tester sub-assemblies. Will work closely with ESD Engineer on experiments and research projects!

Responsibilities and Tasks

In General

• We follow all safety procedures and area work rules!
• When required, will support engineer/manager request(s)
• We support equipment set-up, and MK2 and Orion test program set-up

Perform Periodic Maintenance and Calibration

• Will conduct weekly equipment self tests
• Perform weekly/quarterly/annual waveform verification
• Perform annual adjustment and calibration
• Monitor and evaluate PM machine data trends
• Enter, track machine downtime, and log with repairs in Equipment Tracking Interface (ETO) system

Perform Hardware De-bugging and Repair

• Interpret self test and PM failure outputs
• Isolate defective tester sub-assembly by “SwapTronics”
• Replace defective tester sub-assemblies from spares
• Conduct visual inspect of sub-assembly
• Perform defective component replacement on sub-assembly
• Modify insert tools or test fixtures as needed
• Order replacement components (Matreq or outside vendor)

Set-up of New Test Programs

• Research device data sheet details for Pin Out, Voltage Levels, and Leakage Limits
• Create MK2, and Orion test programs
• Update test program document with device file and test file details
• Verify MK2 and Orion test program set-up
• Verify pin connectivity on test fixture

Qualifications:

• Will work with minimal supervision
• Work flexible shift hours
• Good multitasking abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

Associates Degree or equivalent experience

• Electronics

Desired 3 years of shown experience in any of the following:

• Semiconductor Manufacturing
• Previous ESD experience, Semiconductor Test, Electronic troubleshooting and repair; familiar with Micron MAM tracking.
