Job Details:

The Assistant Athletic Director for Digital, Production, and Fan Experience will be responsible for executing and coordinating a comprehensive strategy for digital content, video production, and in-venue fan engagement initiatives. This position will serve as the primary liaison among marketing, ESPN production, individual sport programs, and athletics administration, ensuring alignment with the department’s overall brand identity and strategic messaging.

This role also oversees all aspects of video board and replay systems, including programming, content development, design, and technical maintenance. Additionally, the Assistant AD will lead and implement creative and engaging fan experience initiatives for all home athletic events across sports, enhancing in-game atmosphere and increasing fan engagement.


 

Responsibilities:

The Assistant Athletic Director for Digital, Production, and Fan Experience will be responsible for executing and coordinating a comprehensive strategy for digital content, video production, and in-venue fan engagement initiatives. This position will serve as the primary liaison among marketing, ESPN production, individual sport programs, and athletics administration, ensuring alignment with the department’s overall brand identity and strategic messaging.

This role also oversees all aspects of video board and replay systems, including programming, content development, design, and technical maintenance. Additionally, the Assistant AD will lead and implement creative and engaging fan experience initiatives for all home athletic events across sports, enhancing in-game atmosphere and increasing fan engagement.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Digital Media, Sport Management, Marketing, or a related field and four years of directly relevant experience in video production, in-venue entertainment, or a related field (preferably in a collegiate or professional sports setting), are required. Candidates must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Video Boards Software (preferably Daktronics Video Boards).

Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the university's carrier.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to multi-task effectively, prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.

  • Must have outstanding work ethic and strict attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage the departmental operational budget.

  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends, and available for possible travel with sport teams for selected away contests.
