Position Summary

Suites  Runner is responsible for delivering food, beverages, and supplies to suites, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring exceptional guest service during events. Assisting the Suite Attendant in whatever other duties needed to ensure prompt service and a great customer experience.  This is a seasonal role from February 9, 2026 and will end on April 30, 2026.  This role pays an hourly rate of $14.00-$15.00 and is tip eligible  This position will remain open until April 30, 2026.

About the Venue

The Rio Rancho Events Center (RREC) located in Rio Rancho, New Mexico is a 7,000 seat multi-purpose facility which opened its doors in October 2006. The RREC leads the field among venues in New Mexico and is home to the New Mexico Goatheads Hockey team. With 165,000 square feet of extended floor space, the Rio Rancho Events Center is ideal to host concerts, sporting events, family shows, conferences, banquets, and cultural programs. The arena features a single concourse, and has 27 suites and 4 party suites, as well as a large club lounge for dinners and parties. The technical expertise and dedication of the RREC staff ensures that audiences will be dazzled and entertained with shows they will never forget. The Rio Rancho Events Center is owned by the City of Rio Rancho and managed by Oak View Group (OVG), the global leader in live experience venue development, management, premium hospitality services, and 360-degree solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Food and Beverage Delivery: Transport and deliver food, beverages, and orders from kitchens or service stations to suites promptly, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met. 
  • Suite Preparation: Assist Suite Attendants in setting up suites before events, including arranging serving ware, stocking pantries, and preparing dessert carts. 
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of suite supplies, dry goods, and beverages, and report usage to supervisors. 
  • Guest Service: Provide professional, courteous service to suite guests, responding to requests and ensuring a positive experience. 
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Keep suites, pantries, and surrounding areas clean and organized, including fridges, coolers, and service stations. 
  • Event Support: Assist with setup, breakdown, and service during events, including transporting equipment and supplies as needed. 

Qualifications

  • Experience: Typically requires at least one year of experience as a runner, busser, or in a similar hospitality role. 
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and navigate stairs or ramps for extended periods.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with food, beverage, and menu items; understanding of suite layouts and event locations.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a clean uniform, good personal hygiene, and a professional demeanor when interacting with guests.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with Suite Attendants, supervisors, and other staff to ensure smooth operations.
