Job Summary:
The Sr. Specialist, Payroll & HRIS plays a critical role at Lafayette 148 through payroll processing, optimizing our UKG & HR systems, and ensuring accurate data reporting across the organization. The Sr. Specialist, UKG & Payroll will serve as a subject matter expert in HRIS system configuration & improvements, reporting, maintaining compliance, and supporting business needs through the seamless integration of the People & Culture function.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute weekly, and bi-weekly payroll processing for Corporate and Retail team members in the US & Canada ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
- Oversee commission audits and processing to guarantee accuracy and alignment with company policies.
- Maintain HRIS to ensure data reporting capabilities are optimized and provide high level system administration and user security.
- Develop, generate, and analyze P&C reports for Finance and senior management, ensuring accurate month-end payroll accrual calculations, analyzing and allocating payroll expenses across departments, and leveraging a strong understanding of the retail calendar to ensure precise financial reporting, compliance with company policies, and alignment with regulatory standards.
- Serve as a key partner by collaborating closely with Technology teams to optimize system functions to support auditing and payroll operations.
- Manage the vendor relationships.
- Provide technical and educational support for HRIS systems to users.
- Liaise with tax department when new state payroll requests and ensure compliance.
- Other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Background:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree (in related field)
Experience:
- Minimum 6+ years related experience, UKG/UltiPro software experience desired
Skills:
- Strong technology skills/systems aptitude
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (must have strong excel skills)
- Strong time management required
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and listening) to successfully collaborate across departments
- Extreme attention to detail with an analytical mindset to independently problem solve
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Pay Range:
The base salary for this position is $80,000 - $100,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience and location.
