Maintenance Assistant

The DSC Maintenance Assistant is responsible for maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment including forklifts, conveyors, wrappers, and routine building maintenance as needed.

5% Travel

This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans.

• The assistant is responsible for assisting the technician in completing and updating information in eAM and contributing to the maintenance department's achievement of additional levels of Rx.  
• The maintenance assistant will identify problems, troubleshoot, evaluate, repair equipment, and/or make adjustments or corrections to parts or equipment.  
• The maintenance assistant must be able to communicate effectively with warehouse technicians and different levels of management and work as a team member in the maintenance department.  
• Responsible for ensuring HKE standards are maintained and for ensuring all safety and company rules are followed. 

Minimum Requirements: 

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age 
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future 

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Have an associate's degree or higher
• Have at least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment (for example: forklifts (stand and sit), pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacu-hoists, drum dollys, conveyor belts, etc.)
• Have at least one (1) year of work experience in maintenance
