Description

RUN Studios, and its client partner, a large online retailer headquartered in Seattle, are seeking a Marketing Manager to join for an 11-month onsite project in New York, New York, with potential for conversion!

This is a regular, full-time, 40-hour/week position, and onsite work is required 3 days/week.

We are seeking a well-rounded Marketing Manager to join a retail brand team that operates across large-scale digital campaigns and global style guide development. This individual must be a strong writer capable of developing integrated content briefs, a collaborative partner skilled at managing stakeholder relationships, and a self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced environment. The role is part of a team of campaign and project managers who sit at the center of a highly cross-functional ecosystem. You will collaborate with Brand Planning, Creative, Media, Insights, Production, and external creative agencies to bring cross-channel, cross-category campaigns to life.

As a Marketing Manager, You Will

  • Serve as a brand strategist and advisor on design systems for cross-functional teams.

  • Write and edit long-form documents such as memos, point-of-view statements, and strategic rationales that outline branding decisions and tradeoffs.

  • Develop creative briefs that guide year-round design strategy and inform retail campaigns rooted in customer insights and business goals.

  • Support campaign development for seasonal and evergreen retail events, including the creation and execution of global style guides.

  • Lead and support program management for major brand initiatives such as holiday campaigns, seasonal playbooks, and digital retail experiences.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agency partners to align on creative strategy and execution.

  • Manage brand-related escalations by capturing competing priorities and building alignment through clear, persuasive writing.

  • Contribute to the development of scalable processes that improve consistency, efficiency, and collaboration across marketing and design teams.

As a Marketing Manager, You Bring

  • 10 or more years of experience in brand strategy, design systems, or account planning.

  • Deep knowledge of brand architecture and experience working with design systems.

  • Background in top-tier brand consultancies, creative agencies, or in-house brand teams. Familiarity with firms such as Pentagram, Collins, JKR, or FutureBrand is a plus.

  • Exceptional long-form writing skills that support clear, strategic communication in a document-driven culture.

  • Ability to think strategically and write persuasively, especially when navigating complex brand or stakeholder challenges.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners.

  • Experience managing the end-to-end campaign process, from creative briefing to asset delivery and performance feedback.

  • Proficiency with common workplace tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, and Slack. No specialized design or analytical tools are required.
