Overview
The Clinical Professional Development Practitioner (CPDP) serves as a professional development expert focused on the learning needs of new team members, experienced staff, and students. Collaborating with department leadership, staff, and interdepartmental groups, the CPDP evaluates learning needs and implements evidence-based education plans to ensure safe, competent, high-quality care for patients and families within a defined specialty or service line (e.g., Critical Care, Perioperative Services, Med/Surg, Ambulatory, etc.). In addition to supporting the educational and professional development needs of their assigned departments, the CPDP maintains clinical expertise by providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities
- Develops, implements and evaluates clinical education strategies across assigned departments.
- Serves as a professional development expert focused on the learning needs of new team members, experienced staff, and students.
- Facilitates onboarding and orientation programs for new hires, transfers, and travelers within assigned departments.
- Provides direct patient care that promotes optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree BSN Required and 3-5 years experience Clinical nursing experience in a relevant specialty. Clinical education, professional development, and/or; leadership experience preferred. or
- Master's Degree and 3-5 years experience Preferred. A Master's degree in nursing may be accepted in lieu of a BSN.
- One of the following: Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hire
- One of the following: Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas required upon hire
- RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO
- RNs who reside in Kansas hold a Kansas Multi-State (Compact) License Multi-State, Compact RN License in State of residence. Required Upon Hire
- Refer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provide Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications Required Upon Hire
- Specialty Certification (within two years of hire date) Required

Starting Pay
Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $41.85/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
