Job Description Summary

Resident Life Student Assistant provides administrative support to both Residence Life and Mail Services. This position will run from May 9th, 2025 - August 15th, 2025.

The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of the job:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the office with opening and closing of the residence halls.

  • Creates promotional materials and signage as needed for Residence Life.

  • Provide front desk coverage on a rotating basis.

    Greet visitors, answer the phone, provide administrative office support, create IDs, perform lock-out functions, work on special projects, and perform other duties as assigned.

  • Submit and follow up on maintenance requests.

  • Create engaging content that fosters school spirit and inclusivity and aligns with College brand standards.

  • Maintains cleanliness of the office.

  • Sort, distribute, forward, and prepare outgoing mail.

  • Assist the mailroom with processing all mail and packages delivered during operations hours.

  • Assist, when needed, in other Student Life Offices with special projects and/or administrative tasks.

  • Other related responsibilities and duties determined/assigned by the professional Residence Life staff.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must have good customer service skills.

  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to follow through on assignments.

  • Must communicate with faculty, staff, and students effectively.

  • Possess primary computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Canva.

  • Act in a professional manner.

  • Must be able to lift to 40 pounds.

  • Positive attitude.

Compensation:

$13.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly

Education and Experience

Required:

  • Must be enrolled at Ringling College of Art and Design.

  • No outstanding College conduct.

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0

  • Successful completion of Human Resources background check.
