We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to take part in the transformation of CI/CD workflows across multiple products, each comprising diverse legacy components.
This role involves introducing industry-leading DevOps tools and technologies - driving the adoption of modern practices and methodologies within our community. The role extends to providing ongoing support to existing CI/CD pipelines, and optimising ephemeral and pre-production environments for efficiency and reliability.
We expect from you:
- DevOps Methodologies:
- Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), GitOps, and CI/CD principles.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration, automation-first mindset, and enabling developer self-service. - Kubernetes (Bare-metal & On-premise):
- Strong experience operating Kubernetes clusters on bare-metal and on-premise infrastructure.
- Confident in troubleshooting networking, storage, and performance issues in self-managed K8s environments.
- Familiarity with tools like Kubeadm, Calico, Cilium, OpenEBS, MetalLB, and KubeVirt is a plus. - GitLab CI/CD:
- Proven ability to design, optimize, and maintain complex CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
- Experience with GitLab runners in Kubernetes and on dedicated RHEL-based hosts.
- Knowledge of ephemeral environments, pipeline caching strategies, and secure secrets management in GitLab. - Linux System Administration (RHEL-based):
- Solid expertise in managing and hardening RHEL-based systems (e.g., CentOS Stream, AlmaLinux).
- Understanding of package management via dnf, custom repo management, and OS lifecycle practices. - Observability & Monitoring:
- Practical experience with observability stacks such as:
- OpenSearch for log aggregation and analysis.
- Grafana for metrics, alerting, and dashboard creation.
- Prometheus/VictoriaMetrics or similar time-series backends is a plus.
- Ability to correlate logs, metrics, and traces to detect and resolve issues proactively. - Toolset:
- Helm templating (Required)
- Terraform (Required)
- Ansible (Required)
- ArgoCD application deployment and management (Nice to Have)
- Gitlab CI - Shell Scripting & Automation:
- Advanced Bash scripting skills for system automation, infrastructure provisioning, and service configuration.
- Experience integrating shell scripts into CI/CD workflows and system health checks. - Hands-on Development Insight:
- Basic understanding of the developer workflow and lifecycle.
- Experience working alongside developers to improve productivity, feedback loops, and deployment reliability.
Nice to have:
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies.
- Experience in administering Windows environments.
