Senior FinOps Engineer

We are looking for a Senior FinOps Engineer to join our team and help drive cost optimization, financial accountability, and operational excellence across cloud environments.

In this role, you will be embedded within a cloud and platform-focused team, playing a key part in designing and implementing FinOps practices aligned with the FinOps Foundation framework. You will contribute to building a cost-aware culture, enabling data-driven decision-making, and ensuring efficient cloud usage across the organization.

The role combines FinOps strategy, cloud engineering, and financial governance, with a strong focus on Azure environments and data-driven reporting.

Responsibilities

Own and drive FinOps practices across the organization, including:

• Implementation of the FinOps Foundation framework:

  • Inform

  • Optimize

  • Operate

Design and implement processes to support FinOps maturity:

• Cost allocation and tagging strategies

• Budgeting and forecasting models

• Cost optimization initiatives

Develop and maintain reporting dashboards:

• Build insightful reports using Power BI

• Provide actionable cost and usage insights to stakeholders

Collaborate with engineering and business teams to:

• Promote cost awareness and accountability

• Optimize cloud consumption patterns

• Support financial decision-making

Ensure continuous optimization of cloud environments:

• Identify inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities

• Recommend architectural improvements

Support multi-cloud strategy (where applicable):

• Contribute with knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Cloud and FinOps roles

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including data components

• Proven experience implementing FinOps practices across all phases (Inform, Optimize, Operate)

• Experience with Power BI for reporting and analytics

Certifications (mandatory):

• FinOps Certified Engineer

• AZ-104 – Azure Administrator Associate

Nice-to-have:

• AZ-305 – Azure Solutions Architect Expert

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
