Occupational Therapist Assistant - PRN

Nashville General Hospital is hiring a hiring a Occupational Therapist for PRN. 

The Occupational Therapist Assistant is responsible for implementing a comprehensive occupational therapy program for inpatients and outpatients as designed by a licensed occupational therapist. The Occupational Therapy staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients assigned.

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant you will be responsible for:

• Monitors patient progress and implements changes to treatment plan as directed by therapist.
• Provides patient and family of instructions of treatment methods. 
• Documents in patients of progress notes in chart regarding assessment, plan, treatment, instruction, evaluation, and recommendations. 
• Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate with patients/patients' significant other and interpret verbal/nonverbal behavior. 

Required Skills & Qualifications:   

• Minimum 1 year of experience. 
• Active license (or eligible) as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state of Tennessee. 
• Preferred Associate's Degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapist Assistant from an accredited school.
