Onsite are roles that have specific onsite requirements and are typically onsite daily.

Hybrid fixed are roles that are a blend of onsite work/in-person interactions with some ability to work remotely and require employees to live within a commutable distance and be onsite fixed days each week.

Hybrid flexible are roles that can be performed remotely but require some level of onsite work/in-person interactions on a regular basis, require employees to live within a commutable distance and, since business needs vary by position and may change over time, managers will set expectations and flexibility regarding where and when work is performed.

Fully remote are roles that can be performed remotely, require employees to live in approved states and will have purpose-driven in-person interactions on occasion.

Job Summary

Provide direct oversight of security operations including directing officers/security site services in security operations, field activities, and procedure use and adherence. Authorize maintenance and testing activities for security equipment to ensure equipment status is maintained. Implement the Security Plan and Security procedures and direct the required procedural steps to protect the site in hostile or abnormal conditions. Oversee special projects as determined by the Security Shift Manager/Security Shift Operations Manager. Off-hours, weekend and shift work is required.

Job Responsibilities

 

• Ensuring that all patrols and compensatory measures are conducted and in place;
• Ensuring that sufficient armed responders are designated and available for immediate response;
• Conducting OJT/TPE's to evaluate security personnel performance;
• Ensuring proper schedules are in place and rotations of personnel are fair and consistent;
• Ensuring compensatory posts meet requirements and that safeguards measures are maintained;
• Completing Performance Evaluations and FMS on the Security Officers.
• Other duties as delegated by the Security Shift Manager/Security Shift Operations Manager.

 

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:
•    High School Diploma or G.E.D.
•    Minimum of 3 years as an Armed Security Officer or previously qualified as an Armed Security Nuclear Supervisor or 4 years of military, law enforcement, or relavent leadership experience
•    Must meet and maintain Nuclear requirements for unescorted plant access at time of offer
•   Will be required to obtain and maintain Armed Responder Qualification 
•   Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills
•   A valid Real ID or an approved form of alternate documentation (https://www.pseg.com/IDrequirement) is required for this job.

Desired:
•    Bachelor's Degree
•    Prior supervisory experience 
•    Prior law enforcement/military experience
