TITLE: General Technician - Shipping & Receiving

REPORTS TO: Shipping & Receiving Lead

SUMMARY: Responsible for the Safety, cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, baler room, truck docks, bander, associated grounds by supplying support to Press Operation, Baler Room, and overall plant support. Ensures top quality material, accurately labeled and carefully shipped is received by the customer.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS OVERVIEW

• Through the use of lift and clamp trucks, safely load and unload goods and products for storage and/or shipment

• Reads work orders and/or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. Through the use of lift and clamp trucks safely load and unload trailers, preparing goods for storage and/or shipment. Safely and efficiently move rolls, pallets and other materials throughout the facility. Ensure correct loading of product or other material onto pallets before moving. Ensures all loads are correctly and properly strapped, braced or padded to prevent shifting or damage
