Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to support the Cross-Domain Enterprise All-Source User Repository (CENTAUR) program. This is a prime contract supporting the submittal of DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) artifacts for operational Authority to Operate (ATO), factory accreditation, and product deployment. Our cyber team provides guidance and support to hardware, software, and infrastructure teams and executes technical tasks in a fast-paced and challenging cybersecurity environment.  Selected candidate will have experience in integration, testing, and requirements development and must be self-motivated and capable of working independently.

This position is located in Richardson, TX and requires a current/active TS/SCI clearance prior to the start date.

What You Will Do

  • Perform system administration and framework duties to ensure proper operation of the product at factory and assist as needed for deployed systems.

  • Support cybersecurity efforts (i.e., artifact development, implementation of security controls and requirements, mitigation tracking, and controls validation) necessary to lead to successful Authority to Operate (ATO) for system. 

  • Plan, guide, test, and document security implementations. Evaluate and monitor Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) and Government off the Shelf (GOTS) systems, applications, and services against our current architecture, RMF requirements, and application requirements.

  • Participate in peer reviews, maintain test environments & coverage, provide feedback for product improvements, and ensure consistency in quality and performance.

  • Work within the infrastructure domain to ensure the overall system execution is reliable, maintainable, and deployable while always meeting operational performance.

  • Form strong relationships with United States Government (USG) customers, subcontractors, and other Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads to facilitate effective communications and shape the security baseline of the system.

  • Ensure tasks are completed on schedule and within budget. 

  • Estimated 10% travel, CONUS and OCONUS, to support customer meetings and cyber events. 

Qualifications You Must Have: 

  • Experience with Linux and Windows administration and hardening.

  • VMWare VCSA/vCenter/ESXi host administration experience, load balancing & optimization.

  • DoD 8140 certification in compliance with DoDM 8140.03M (e.g., CompTIA Security+).

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 8 years of relevant experience.

  • Active and transferable U.S. government DoD issued TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date.

  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Networking Experience.

  • Ability to document & understand physical and wiring of system/network.

  • Experience with Atlassian/Jira toolset for task management.

  • Experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes.

  • Cybersecurity accreditation experience.

  • Experience with Ansible.

  • Experience with NAS/SAN.

  • Experience with backup/recovery.

  • Experience using Agile methodologies.

  • Computing environment certification (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Windows /RHEL Administration, etc.) related to network or system security administration.

  • Knowledge of information security toolsets including anti-virus, Vulnerability Assessment, HIDS/ NIDS, host-based or endpoint security solutions, Multi Factor Authentication (MFA), and Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) and centralized auditing tools.

  • Knowledge of Host Based Security System (HBSS) / Endpoint Security Services (ESS), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution
