Senior Speech Language Pathologist

At New York-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, our Speech-Language Pathologists help patients experiencing serious impairments to connect with the world around them. In this dynamic role, you will leverage your extensive clinical competencies and experience to evaluate and treat medically complex patients with feeding/swallowing disorders. You will work collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary care team to provide exceptional care. Help us continue to live up to our reputation as New York’s #1 hospital.

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00AM to 6:00PM with weekend and holiday commitments. This position will work at our New York-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital location.

 

Preferred Criteria

• 5+ years’ experience evaluating/treating adult communication and swallowing disorders

• Experience in inpatient acute care setting

• Experience in outpatient setting

• Competency and experience in Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies

• Experience working with trach/vent patients

• Experience working with complicated neurological, cardiac, GI and ENT diagnoses

Required Criteria

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology

• Certification by the American Speech and Hearing Association

• New York State Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required

Salary Range:

$113,300-$149,000/Annual
