Work Schedule

100% FTE, 40 hours per week. Shifts scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Hours may vary based on the needs of the clinic.

Bring your excellent customer service skills to UW Health and assist patients with their scheduling needs. 

 

We are seeking a Bilingual Patient Scheduling Specialist to:

  • Assist patients in-person, on the phone, or through electronic correspondence to schedule appointments, update patient information, and check patients in and out.
  • Coordinate physician schedules and reserve time on physician calendars.
  • Counsel patients on prior authorization, referral requirements, and insurance networks.
  • Possess bilingual verbal and written skills in order to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and staff.

 

Education:

Minimum – High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred –  Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, or other related field

 

Work Experience:

Minimum – One (1) year of previous experience working in an office or customer service environment. Must be bilingual in Spanish.

Preferred – Previous experience working in healthcare. Previous experience scheduling patients. Previous experience coordinating multiple activities in an office setting.
