Director, Strategic Accounts
This role will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive revenue growth through key strategic accounts, including national and regional healthcare providers, hospital systems, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), and group purchasing organizations (GPOs). The Director of Strategic Accounts will play a critical role in expanding market share, optimizing customer relationships, and achieving sales targets in alignment with company objectives.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic account plans to establish and maintain relationships with key strategic accounts, including national and regional healthcare providers, hospital systems, IDNs, and GPOs
- Lead negotiations on pricing, contracting, and partnership agreements to optimize market access, ensure product availability, and drive revenue growth
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., sales, marketing, medical affairs, market access) to align strategies and initiatives that support business objectives and customer needs
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth and development within strategic accounts
- Monitor and evaluate sales performance metrics, KPIs, and financial targets to assess effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed
- Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to a team of account managers, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and fostering a culture of excellence
- Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management and key stakeholders, providing updates on strategic account performance, market dynamics, and growth opportunities
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements in all sales activities and interactions
Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales, with a focus on strategic account management and/or national accounts
- Proven track record of success in developing and implementing strategic account plans, achieving sales targets, and driving revenue growth within the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong understanding of healthcare market dynamics, including reimbursement trends, formulary management, and health economics
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying opportunities and implementing actionable plans
- Ability to travel as needed

Salary Range - $180k - $230k
