About the role

This is a Global Support Business Planning Sr. Manager role that leads a group of senior business analysts  in strategic reporting and analysis who develop, analyze, and manage data in a number of Business Intelligence applications and support Executive Support Leadership across ORCL.


This is a fast-paced role suitable for an experienced professional who is capable of coordinating multiple team resources to produce complex data analysis with clarity, accuracy, and speed. 

Regular clear and concise communication to Executives (both spoken and in writing) is also an essential part of the role, frequently requested to illustrate and comment a comprehensive (360 degrees) view of the Support business in all its facets (On Premise, Cloud, by Team, by Product, etc.).  

Technical analytical skills will be required to support financial modeling and analysis. 

 

Career Level - M3

Profitability models, financial analysis and executive decks including key performance indicators are the typical deliverables the team is responsible for. The role is expected to identify and recommend areas for improvement and taking a strategic view of both the business and data to explain relevant trends and determine necessary areas of focus. 

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Expertise in business and data analysis, data transformation and enrichment, as well as excellent skills in storytelling with data
  • Strong numbers-based, data-based background, training, or degree (BS/BA degree minimum; graduate level is ideal)
  • A solid grasp of the Software and Hardware support business and the customer service model, or be able to come up to speed quickly 
  • 4-5 years of programming experience in Python or equivalent language
  • SQL experience and use of BI tools (e.g. OAC, OBIEE, Tableau) to create dashboards and scorecards
  • Deep expertise with Microsoft Excel combining complex data sets, advanced graphing techniques, and tools; Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, able to generate and explain clear data stories in a visual format
  • The ability to produce thorough, accurate, and fast work
  • Both analytical and strategic thinking skills to ask and answer the right questions about the business 
  • The ability to handle pressure with excellent follow-thru
  • Strong written and communication skills with the experience and ability to present complex ideas to Executive Leadership
  • 4-5 years in managerial role required with specific focus on resource development in remote working environments

 

Ideal candidates will have all of the following:

  • Graduate-level degree in data, finance, or business area
  • Background and experience in finance and/or statistics
  • Proficiency with internal Oracle data management and analysis tools such as Apex, OBIEE/OAC/Data Visualization, MOS Query Tool/SQL, Python to store, retrieve, manipulate complex data sets
  • Understanding of data restriction and privacy protection policies such as HIPAA and GDPR
  • Project Management skills and experience 
  • Proven experience in team management and development

US: Hiring Range: from $97,400 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
