About the role

Are you interested in solving complex problems at the intersection of technology and online assessments? You will be a part of the Global Hiring Science (GHS) team and will partner closely with Research Scientist, Program Manager, Product and Technology teams to scale and optimize online assessment content.

You will serve as the single threaded Senior Program Manager to re-imagine the implementation and delivery on a new assessment technology platform. You will drive the creation of procedures and best practices, and be responsible for aligning the needs from multiple stakeholder teams. Successful candidates will have experience with assessment technology, have excellent problem solving abilities, and are able to influence without authority across all levels of the organizational hierarchy. The ideal candidate will have strong program management, communication and analytical skills; the ability to drive decision making while challenging the status quo; and experience driving large scale, matrixed global projects that have significant impact on the customer and wider organization.

Key job responsibilities
- Work closely with multiple teams to deliver innovative assessment strategies for candidates, improving our quality of hire.
- Serve as primary point-of-contact for assessment technology and provide regular business reviews on program health and roadmap execution
- Create and maintain multiple, complex and concurrent program plans.
- Negotiate resources and work timelines to ensure on-time completion and deliver desired business results.
- Assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, balance the business needs versus technical constraints and encourage risk-taking behavior to maximize business benefit.
- Communicates status risks, and changes of program milestones to a large user population and senior business leaders.
- Consult with stakeholders and Industrial-Organizational Scientists to uncover intended assessment impact, application, scale as well as develop and deploy the most effective assessment solutions.
- Analyze and report out on assessment data and metrics to stakeholders. Consolidate and produce metrics and insights that reflect success or failure criteria. Dive deep into defect data to root cause problematic products or processes and advice on corrective actions
- Negotiate platform integration and use, technical support and implementation of continuous improvements.
- Partner with technical teams to derive program requirements, develop delivery mechanisms for assessments to our candidates, and research new assessment capabilities
- Develop change management communications and effective training and for internal and external assessment users.
- Surface opportunities to innovate to continuously improve organizational efficiency

About the team
The mission of Global Hiring Science (GHS) is to improve both the efficiency and effectiveness of hiring across Amazon with assessments and interview improvements. We are a team of experts in industrial-organizational psychology, data science, and measuring the knowledge, skills, and abilities that it takes to be successful at Amazon. We conduct research on recruiting best practices, DEI in the hiring process, and Amazon's interview process.

Basic Qualifications


- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
