The Sr. Learning Experience Designer, Customer Success will design, develop and maintain a high-quality, mixed media curriculum to train the extended Customer Success team in a variety of business and technical functions that enhance business performance.  They will conduct needs assessments, select instructional models, and design relevant content experiences to drive knowledge, efficiency, and productivity throughout the Customer Success organization. Additionally, this role will be responsible for reviewing and providing enhancements to instructional materials in consultation with subject matter experts across the MongoDB ecosystem to deliver a quality learning experience for the Customer Success team. 

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leaders and subject matter experts to design and develop instructional materials for traditional instructor-led courses, workshops, eLearnings, etc.  
  • Collaborate with the business to create clear learning objectives in support of business goals, in addition to the relevant measurement framework to gauge impact
  • Develop instructional materials that are interactive, innovative, informative, and consistent with sound instructional design and learning theory 
  • Utilize strong documentation, writing, and test writing skills to simplify complex information into an easily understandable and readily applicable training
  • Maintain and configure content in our learning and content management systems, owning the lifecycle and leveraging best practices for structure, storage, and archiving
  • Create and implement a standardized structure and process for cross-functional feedback mechanisms, including reporting on adoption, completion, and satisfaction
  • Actively participate and/or facilitate delivery of learning sessions as needed

 

Qualifications & Requirements: 

  • Ability to incorporate knowledge of instructional design theory, adult learning principles and evaluation methods, and UX design thinking to guide design process and content
  • Experience consulting with business leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify training needs and learning objectives and then translate to impactful solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data to drive future design improvements, direction, and to quantify and validate design effectiveness
  • Proven design process (e.g., ADDIE, Agile, RID) and learning strategy to guide stakeholders through initial needs analysis through implementation and evaluation
  • Self-starter that takes initiative for proactively supporting both strategy and tactical execution plans with high attention to detail and delivery excellence
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to communicate high impact messages and complex ideas in an effective, concise fashion in both verbal and written format
  • Outstanding collaboration skills with the desire and patience to work cross-functionally with a diverse global team to establish and meet shared organizational goals
  • Ability to remain calm and focused when handling multiple projects in a fast-paced, agile environment while still meeting deadlines with ease and accuracy
  • 5+ years of B2B SaaS industry experience creating high-quality technical training, activities, and instructional content within a Learning Management System (LMS) preferred; knowledge of Customer Success a plus
