(Senior) Data Engineer (m/f/d)

Location: remote, Spain

Your responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL processing pipelines for batch and near-real-time data as well as analytical / machine
  learning workflows.
• You will work with a modern stack including Airflow, Kubernetes, Starburst, dbt and Kafka.
• Design, implement and extend our enterprise data warehouse that will support our company's commitment to
  analytics and a data-driven business philosophy.
• Extract data from various transactional databases, third-party tools and APIs, e.g. Google Analytics (BigQuery),
  Google AdWords, Salesforce, MSSQL amongst others.
• Write code that writes code; Automatically generate and extend pipelines.
• Maintain and expand our CI/CD pipelines and utilization of gitlab pipelines to automate our testing and
  deployment.

Your qualification

• Proven experience in data engineering.
• You have at least a bachelor's degree in a quantitative subject, e.g. computer science, physics, mathematics,
  engineering, or comparable.
• Profound knowledge of SQL, in particular in connection with dbt, conceptual knowledge of RDBMS and Columnar Database concepts is a plus.
• Fluency in Python and experience in Linux platforms, working knowledge of Airflow is a plus.
• Experience with cloud data architectures (AWS or Azure) is preferred.
• Willingness to learn and keep up to date with relevant technologies.
• As a team player, you work independent and rigorous while improving the status quo.
• You bring excellent English skills, German is a nice to have.
