Critical Facility Technician

Military Occupational Specialty Code: 91E, 91C, EM, HT, MK, DC, 1161, 1341, 3E1X1 </p> <ul> <li>Perform planned preventive maintenance (PMs) and unplanned corrective maintenance on HVAC and mechanical systems </li> <li>Maintain and service equipment including chillers, cooling systems, water heaters, motors, pumps, and VFDs </li> <li>Execute monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual maintenance schedules </li> <li>Respond to break-fix situations and urgent facility needs </li> <li>Complete work orders and documentation using CMMS and/or paper tickets </li> <li>Safely use tools, materials, and equipment to complete assigned tasks </li> <li>Escort and coordinate with subcontractors as required </li> <li>Follow all safety protocols including PPE and Lockout/Tagout procedures </li> <li>Participate in training and demonstrate willingness to learn additional systems </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Minimum 3 years of HVAC, mechanical, or related technical experience </li> <li>Experience in commercial or residential HVAC/mechanical environments </li> <li>Working knowledge of refrigerants, mechanical and electrical systems, motors, and VFDs </li> <li>High School Diploma or GED </li> <li>Valid driver’s license (company vehicle use required) </li> <li>Ability to pass Tier 1 background check and drug screening </li> <li>Ability to obtain a security clearance and polygraph after hire (condition of employment) </li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications </strong></p> <ul> <li>5 plus years of HVAC or mechanical experience </li> <li>Experience in data centers or critical facilities </li> <li>Technical certifications or trade school training </li> <li>Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude </li> </ul> <p><strong>Physical &amp; Work Environment Requirements </strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift 50–75 lbs </li> <li>Ability to climb ladders and work at heights </li> <li>Comfortable working in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and industrial environments </li> <li>Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or after-hours as required </li> </ul> <p><br/><strong>Basic Qualifications:</strong><br/><br/> • Must be 18 years of age or older<br/> • Must possess a valid, unexpired driver's license<br/> • Must possess journeyman HVAC license in the state, county or city jurisdiction in which work will be performed<br/> • Three (3) years prior experience required as an HVAC technician</p> <p></p> <div> ABM (NYSE: ABM) is one of the world’s largest providers of integrated facility, engineering, and infrastructure solutions.
