The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Supply Chain Counsel, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Supporting the Enterprise Supply Chain function as primary legal counsel across the various sub-functions within the Supply Chain organization, including manufacturing, logistics, procurement, EHS, and trade compliance.
- Providing guidance and advice on global business and supply chain legal issues.
- Advising, assessing, and training internal clients on compliance with health and safety-related laws and regulations, e.g., Occupational Safety and Health Act and similar federal, state and local requirements around the globe, as well as internal health and safety standards and policies.
- Advising, assessing, and training internal clients on compliance with environmental and product stewardship laws and regulations, e.g., Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)/Solid Waste Disposal Act, Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA)/Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA), Emergency Planning & Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) and similar federal, state and local requirements.
- Supporting the global procurement team through review and negotiation of procurement agreements.
- Assisting with the implementation of risk assessments, standard operating procedures, monitoring, auditing, and other related health and safety compliance controls.
- Supporting and advising the Trade Compliance organization on trade-related legal matters, including import/export and customs.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited law school and member of a United States bar in good standing
- Ten (10) years of experience in supply chain and related areas
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- 5+ years in-house experience
- Uncompromising honesty and integrity
- Business acumen and an ability to provide legal and compliance advice in the context of strategic business initiatives and goals
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to communicate and relate at all levels of the organization including senior management, business unit leaders, department leaders, and director-level management
- Results-orientated approach; personal and organizational accountability; and a collegial work style
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within a global team environment
- High energy and dedication to responsive client serv
