Position Title: Good Cause Gifts - West Hartford Lead

Reports To: Retail Director

Job Goal: To assist the Retail Director with the West Hartford store operations, staff supervision, and oversight of consumer programs. Provides job coaching services 20 hours per week.

Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience required with specialization in psychology, special education, counseling, youth work or other relevant experience
• Retail experience preferred
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and other disabilities
• Experience supervising employees
• Effective independent assessment, observation, and organizational skills
• Effective interpersonal skills in a variety of settings and situations.
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to exercise discretion and work independently with general supervision
• Ability to establish and maintain positive community relationships
• Must be flexible and possess a positive attitude
• Ability to provide job coaching to consumers 20 hours per week
• Excellent computer skills including use of Microsoft Office products

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

Minimal lifting of office equipment or supplies routinely required. Must be able to communicate clearly and possess the ability to meet multiple job demands in a busy environment. May be required to operate agency vehicles and transport students/consumers in personal vehicle.

Salary: Commensurate credentials and experience

Period of Employment: 35 Hours Weekly
