As the Director, National Distribution, Creditor Insurance, you will oversee and inspire a high-performing, client-facing team, driving strategic growth and fostering strong relationships with distribution partners across the country. Reporting to the Head, Retail Insurance this role combines leadership, sales expertise, and strategic vision to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

What you’ll Do:

  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to optimize product knowledge, sales performance, and client engagement.
  • Lead and coach a team of client-focused professionals, providing the tools and guidance needed to achieve sales and distribution goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key distribution partners, acting as a trusted advisor and aligning their goals with business objectives.
  • Partner with senior leaders and external stakeholders to identify market opportunities, develop tailored solutions, and execute strategic plans that deliver measurable results.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to inform business decisions and refine sales and marketing strategies.
  • Represent the organization in client and industry meetings, presenting product and market updates to strengthen partnerships and drive brand awareness.
  • Design and deliver client-focused initiatives to ensure alignment with business priorities and deliver value for all stakeholders.

Your Experience & Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in sales, distribution, or business leadership roles, ideally within the financial services or insurance sectors.
  • Proven success leading client-facing teams, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets and building long-term client relationships.
  • Deep understanding of insurance distribution, with expertise in product development, market trends, and sales strategies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to inspire and influence internal teams and external partners.
  • Exceptional analytical and decision-making abilities, with a focus on achieving measurable results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven commitment to fostering a diverse, inclusive and equitable work environment with the ability to bring together different perspectives and promote a culture of belonging.

Salary:

$103,500.00 - $192,500.00

Salaried

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
