Field Service Technician

Position Summary: Field Service Technician works mostly at customer locations either in the field or in district. Field Service Technician duties include inspecting and repairing Frac power ends, removing severely damaged power ends and replacing with rebuilt and new units. Techs will assist in root causes for failures and also help with engineering projects and new technologies to help make sure things run smoothly and engineering best practices are followed. This position reports directly to the Field Service Supervisor.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Inspecting and repairing power ends and fluid ends onsite and in district
- Installing new and rebuilt Frac power ends on Frac trailers and skids
- Preventative Maintenance repairs
- Training of best practices with customers
- Communicate with clients to determine needs and explain complex issues
- Conduct research and studies on site
- Manage field activities and implement engineering designs
- Diagnose pump or machinery problems
- Resolve malfunctions or other crises when they arise
- Oversee repairs and technical improvements
- Install new systems and technology
- Inspect and test material and machinery for quality and safety
- Ensure proper maintenance of onsite equipment
- Lead and direct onsite crew (e.g. technicians)
- Draft and submit reports and attention to details
- Well-versed in technical aspects of field projects, including pumps, fluid ends and equipment
- Understanding of safety guidelines
- Outstanding communication skills
- An analytical mind and strong problem-solving ability
- Ability to work in adverse weather and overtime and weekends as required
- Ability to travel domestic and international as demand is required
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years' experience working in the field or a manufacturing environment for well stimulation equipment or equivalent experience.
- Must be familiar with the technical aspects of machines, equipment, and technology used in different field projects.
- Must be an excellent problem-solver and be able to manage crises when they arise.
- Professional in and communicating with customers.
- Previous experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role is preferred.
