The Assistant Director, Programs, is responsible for managing program resources to fulfill the program mission in accordance with priorities, time and budget requirements. Performs work of an administrative, managerial, and professional nature under general supervision from a director, faculty administrator, or principal investigator. It is generally the second level of management in a program large enough to require additional management staff.
Department Specific Functions College of A&S Research and Graduate Education
- Oversees all readmissions procedures for all graduate interdisciplinary programs.
- Creates and maintain part-time and full-time satisfactory academic progress reports, including issuing probation letters, tracking continuous enrollment, and working with the Graduate School to petition for student leaves of absence.
- Assists in matching students and internships and approving internship placements and completion documents for students.
- Oversees the maintenance of the Academic Bulletin, course booklets, and CIM data for the interdisciplinary programs.
- Oversees the scheduling and course combining for all interdisciplinary undergraduate and graduate programs.
- Executes all faculty overload and part-time faculty contracts for the interdisciplinary programs.
- Assists the Assistant Dean for Professional Education and Personalized Learning in the planning and launching of new programs, including stackable credentials, degree programs, majors, minors, and dual degrees.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience. Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
