What You'll Be Doing

  • Find opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials, and parts.

  • Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes. Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing.

  • Confer with engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information.

  • Determine root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.

  • Develop and implement continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness. Lead continuous improvement events and implementations.

  • Plan and establish the sequence of operations to assemble parts or products and to promote efficient utilization.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.

  • Write and implement validations (IQ, OQ, PQ) on equipment and processes.

  • Update documentation for job instructions, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.

  • Evaluate the precision and accuracy of production and testing equipment and engineering drawings to formulate a corrective action plan.

  • Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency using drafting tools and computers.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.

  • 2+ years of job-related experience in manufacturing engineering.

  • Understanding of lean methodologies.

  • Proficient with Solid Edge or Solid Works CAD programs.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $88,000 - $115,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change.
