C3 AI is looking for a manager to provide leadership and direction to the Solution Engineering team of bright and ambitious self-starters like yourself. This role is located onsite either at our Redwood City, California headquarters, or Tysons, Virginia office. You will be part of a fast-moving organization with extremely motivated software engineers who tackle challenging and impactful problems. This management position is highly visible, requires frequent communication and interaction with senior leadership. In addition, this individual will be responsible for developing and shaping the Customer Solutions organization, and team goals.
This role requires US Citizenship. Active Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance (Secret or higher) is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Be passionate about driving and leading your team to success and helping them excel
- Grow the Solutions Engineering team by hiring and developing engineers within the existing team
- Interface and communicate regularly with C3 AI senior leadership, Solutions Engineering team leadership, product managers, and prospective and existing customers
- Lead a team of Solution Engineers in the design, development, and delivery of industry-specific AI solutions
- Contribute to the development of customer solutions throughout the entire development cycle, from solutions design to delivery
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of C3 AI's product offerings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM), or comparable area of study
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with object-oriented programming languages
- 2+ years of proven people leadership experience, managing software engineering teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication, and ability to work effectively on a cross-functional team.
- Experience with full-stack software engineering, schema design, data structures, runtime profiling, code optimization, cloud architecture, and object-oriented and functional programming.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment with a willingness to dive deep and act with intention to achieve great things.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Willing and able to obtain security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Federal government, especially DoD
- TS/SCI Clearance (preferably DoD)
- Graduate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM), or comparable area of study.
- Experience deploying enterprise scale applications
- Demonstrated project management experience
- Strong knowledge of agile software development methodology
- Experience working in a customer-facing role
- Experience with Git or other version control software
- Experience working with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Redux, Vue, Backbone, or Angular
- Experience deploying software to at least one of the leading cloud computing platforms (i.e., GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
- Proficiency in data structure and algorithm design and implementation
- Proficiency in time-series data analysis, cleansing, and normalization
- Solid understanding of common machine learning techniques, applications, and trade-offs
- Strong understanding of AI/ML deployment and operationalization best practices
- Strong understanding of the latest industry trends and advancements in AI/ML
- Domain expertise in one or more of the following industries: Aerospace, Financial Services, Healthcare, Industrial Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Public Sector, Power & Utilities, Supply Chain, and Telecommunications
