Manager, Business Consulting (Shared Portfolio Activation)

The Business Program Management role will lead NF Shared Portfolio teams, including Organizational Change Management and Training, while driving alignment across the business/IT on upcoming change. This role will be focused on driving and enhancing standards and procedures while leading the planning, coordination, and execution of change management activities and program communication across Nationwide Financial. This role also has the potential to lead other services in the future as well that would support portfolio initiatives.

Primary responsibilities include driving alignment of process, supporting the design, development, delivery and management of change plans, training plans, and engagement plans with all impacted stakeholders. The role will focus on driving strategy, promoting program awareness, and generating overall support for program activities and achievement of program objectives. The individual will partner with communication team to assure development of all project communications are completed to drive adoption activities of new tools and processes.

The successful candidate must possess proven leadership skills with the ability to collaborate, remove roadblocks, and act as a primary liaison between the team and portfolio leadership to drive alignment of project and portfolio outcomes. The individual must engage in continuous improvement and actively develops associates in problem solving and communication skills and other areas of thought leadership, collaboration, and professional expertise.

The successful candidate would benefit from having some knowledge of standard project management approaches, ADKAR or another change management methodology, and a firm understanding of current NF business processes. The successful candidate should have a high drive and a desire to help shape the future of NF, as well as display strong communication skills, the ability to influence others, and an ability to create a trusting environment while building strong relationships across the organization. This individual should possess proven leadership skills with the ability to work with business teams to measure effective results. This individual should possess planning skills, decision-making skills, time management skills along with the ability to motivate, develop,  and recognize individual and team achievements and opportunities.

• Leads all activities relating to business transformation through the strategic application of people, processes and technology. Manages teams who participates in business planning by identifying complexities, dependencies and redundancies in the business model.

• Leads team responsible for business process management and consultation. Acts as primary internal business product and process consultant responsible for communicating to customers, management and external sources.

• Runs the activities and functions relating to consultation regarding business process analysis/design, organizational analysis, needs assessments and cost/benefit analysis to align technology solutions with business strategies and directions.
