At Geico, our success is no secret - it's the result of investing in exceptional individuals who can provide exceptional service and solutions to our clients.  We take pride in our commitment to professional development and continuous learning.  As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Senior Director of Operational Training to lead  learning strategy across GEICO’s Operations function.  In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing our learning solutions tailored to insurance professionals so that they are equipped the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in their roles and provide excellent service to our customers in this continuously evolving environment. 

Your leadership will be critical in helping to accelerate Geico’s transformation journey. We are looking for a strategic leader who will drive the modernization of the function while delivering innovative customer centric solutions, with agility, operational excellence and at the speed of business.

Location:

  • Hybrid at NYC or Chevy Chase, MD offices; Other locations being considered.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Strategic Training Leadership:  Develop and execute a comprehensive training strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives, with a focus on Operations New Hire and ongoing training.

  • Curriculum Development: Create and maintain a robust curriculum for Operations training, including Underwriting, Claims, Sales & Service, Centralized Services and Auto-Damage.

  • Team Management: Lead a team of training professionals, including trainers and instructional designers (in some training verticals), to deliver high-quality training programs.

  • Content Creation: Oversee the creation of training materials by leading the partnership of senior leadership in Operations Training with the Corporate Learning team to act as Subject Matter Expert in creating e-learning modules, workshops, and reference materials, ensuring they are current and effective.

  • Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), across business and customer segments to measure the effectiveness of learning solutions to drive business and outcomes.

  • Compliance and Regulations: Stay updated on insurance industry regulations and ensure that training programs are compliant with relevant standards and guidelines.

  • Technology Integration: Leverage technology and e-learning platforms to enhance the delivery of training programs and make them accessible to remote teams.

  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Operations, Talent Acquisition, Leadership Development etc, to identify and anticipate learning needs and develop solutions to drive measurable impact.

  • Budget Management: Manage the training budget efficiently, ensuring cost-effective training solutions while maintaining a high quality and impactful training experience for our Operational associates. 

  • Innovation: Monitors industry trends and leverages emerging practices to drive improved associate experience and business outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Experience leading large scale and cross-vertical teams.

  • Experience driving change within organizations.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree or insurance certifications preferred.

  • Proven experience in developing and managing operational training programs.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Proficiency in instructional design and e-learning technologies.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and large scale projects at one time in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strategic thinking and the ability to align training initiatives with business objectives.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Results-driven with a focus on continuous improvement.

Annual Salary

$195,000.00 - $315,000.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary
