The global Human Resource (HR) Function provides an integrated talent management system that delivers a workforce that is Corning's competitive differentiator in the global marketplace.
HR provides service offerings that align solutions to business challenges by ensuring the programs are Effective, Efficient, Global, Scaleable, and Repeatable. Role Purpose
HR Manager, Finance and Communications, will support strategic and operational HR initiatives across the Finance and Corporate Communications organizations. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, providing guidance in areas such as organization design, workforce planning, talent development, employee experience, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy HR initiatives to functions aligned with HR function and Finance HR’s strategy
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Corning COEs and other business/function BUHR
- Ensure consistent HR processes in functions and pollinate best practice where appropriate
- Utilize people analytics to evaluate organization talent needs and propose solutions
- Facilitate HR processes to create positive employee experiences
- Prioritize ongoing tasks and responding to inquiries from employees/managers
- Implement process controls that ensure accuracy while adhering to company policies
- Recommend process improvements that contribute to increased efficiency while enhancing employee experience
- Ensure all SOPs are complete, accurate, and updated regularly based on policy changes/process enhancements
Experiences/Education - Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or relevant work experience).
- At least 6-8 years of progressive HR experience (generalist/specialist).
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, processes, and employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, handle sensitive situations, and build relationships with employees at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing HR documents, records, and data.
- Strong in Microsoft Office. Proficient in AI tools (GPT, Copilot).

The range for this position is $124,078.00 - $170,608.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
