This is a unique opportunity to work on a programme that will see the business transition over the next few years to a new system that our whole organisation will use. The new system will transform how we work, and the Synergy Team will be at the heart of leading this.
Effective communication and engagement are integral to the successful delivery of the Synergy programme within the Environment Agency. We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic person who can take the lead on these activities and see the bigger picture, yet still able to see the detail to deliver an effective communications and engagement strategy. In this role you will:
- develop and deliver a strategic communications and engagement plan for the programme supporting the transition and transformation to Synergy for the business.
- work in partnership with Defra Synergy team and Defra group communications colleagues to ensure key communication milestones for Synergy are planned for and met.
- establish effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders within the Environment Agency.
- provide assurance to the EA Board, Executive Directors and Synergy Programme Board on the delivery of the Synergy communications and engagement plan as part of the wider Synergy programme. The team The Environment Agency Synergy team is a new team established to deliver a significant programme over a number of years, so it’s an exciting time to join us.
We are part of the EA’s Corporate Management, Assurance, and Security Team who manage the relationship with corporate services, oversee the corporate approach to good governance and decision-making groups as well as our organisational resilience, business continuity management and security.
