KBR is seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented Logistics Operations Manager to join our team supporting a government client with locations in Washington Metropolitan Area. In this role you will be part of the acquisition management team.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Logistics Coordinator, duties will include:
- Manage the overall Logistics team supporting the customer to include personnel supervisor and tasking lead for day-to-day logistics operations.
- Make recommendations on the management and staffing structure necessary to oversee and conduct the logistic operations.
- Maintains documentation to record all issues, receipts, transfers, and disposals of property in accordance with approved property accountability procedures for government property.
- Set the direction and strategy for logistics compliance with customer requirements, recommend process improvements, and collaborate with others to address logistics performance concerns.
Lead a team of individuals who will:
- Ensure material and equipment are catalogued to a standard nomenclature in automated management systems to enhance tracking, reordering, and excess identification processes.
- Manage, maintain, and report the procurement function, using Simplified Procurements (SP), to support the acquisition and tracking of material, assets, and subcontracts for the operation, maintenance, and management of the Customer's facilites.
- Conduct weekly stock reviews to ensure accuracy of inventory records and that stock items are serviceable.
- Create and maintain a Critical Spares Inventory of parts essential to mission activities and stock items accordingly.
- Support the staging, packing, loading, and transport of equipment/luggage and personnel to/from local departure points for OCONUS flights.
- Transporting goods and personnel using Government owned or leased support vehicles.
- Operate loading docks at multiple facilities to include receipt, transfer, and storage of supplies, materials, equipment delivered and departing from customer facilities and assisting with any material movement discrepancies.
Qualifications
Required:
- Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with willingness to sit for a poly upon request
- 10 years of relevant experience in logistic operations.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Bachelor’s or equivalent in Logistics Operational field
- Demonstrated logistics related experience to include in the management of logistics operations.
- Experience managing logistics for both CONUS and OCONUS operations.
- Experience managing operations involving loading docks and the associated operation, safety concerns, and maintenance of vehicles and equipment’s associated with such operations.
- Experience applying simplified procurement processes (e.g., credit card, non-contractual procurements)
- Expert knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) as it relates to procurement.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety standards.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and related software.
Desired:
- Logistics experience in the DoD/IC.
Basic Compensation:
$98,000 - $146,900
This range is for the Maryland area only
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy
