Job Description

Product Sourcing Engineer:
The Product Sourcing Engineer (PSE) supports the Ultrasound Business annual operation plan by leading cross-functional procurement activities involving new product introduction, supply chain risk mitigation and productivity improvements.

Your role:

• Drives manufacturability/value/cost engineering activities within

  DFX (Design for eXcellence) conventions and Value Engineering workshops.

• Partners with R&D, representing Procurement in New Product Introduction projects 

• Responsible to develop, communicate, and manage detailed procurement activity schedules that support higher level program schedules, ensuring communication within purchasing and cross functional stake holders.   

• Partners with Supplier Quality and Executes Advanced Product Quality Plan (APQP) factory related supplier improvement actions 

• Manages Product Costs within assigned commodity. Develops / maintains Should Cost Modeling to achieve challenging cost reduction goals. 

You're the right fit if:

• You've a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

• You've 5+ years’ experience in hardware design and/or matrixed manufacturing with a focus on supply chain and/or procurement related function.  

• You've deep experience in understanding technical product requirements and translating it to minimize life cycle product cost

• Your skills include, practical knowledge of Supply Chain management strategies and tools. 

  . Experience with cost engineering and cost management.

• You have the ability to lead teams and influence cross-functional relationships.

• You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this Office/Remote position.
