Senior Cloud Architect

Job Responsibilities

As a Senior Cloud Architect, you will:

• Coordinate with technical leads for Agile Delivery Program with cloud-based technology stacks across teams who can consider bigger picture goals when making decisions and presenting issues 
• Analyze new and existing public cloud services and create solutions that meet stakeholder requirements and standards 
• Own the end-to-end delivery of solutions which will include developing, testing and releasing Infrastructure as Code 
• Help our clients modernize their architecture and core technologies 
• Contributing to the refinement of technical requirements 
• Design and implement secure, scalable, and innovative solutions to meet client's requirements 
• Create and update applicable technical documentation 
• Coach and mentor other team members 
• Consult on best engineering practices, quality standards and principles 
• Build full-stack automated quality - IaC, deployment, and monitoring and promote best practices for building and operating highly reliable systems, to our clients 
• Analyze and implement configuration changes and assisting in the design of cloud related solutions to meet both functional and technical requirements 
• Develop project schedules, product roadmaps, and implementation plans 
• Manage work streams and coordinate resources across multiple development teams at a Platform level 
• Gather and present metrics regarding project status to clients, technical leads, and CGS Program Manager 
• Proactively develop and implement efficiency improvements that can be implemented in several areas 
• Facilitate effective communication and establish risk and issue mitigation plans to promote project success 
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of documentation such as system requirements in a continuous testing and deployment environment

Required Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship Required  
• Active DoD Top Secret/SCI Eligibility 
• IAT Level II or equivalent 
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics. 
• Ten years technical and/or management experience on US Army, DoD, or IC programs and projects that provided expert software O&M of intelligence systems 
• Five years technical and/or management experience supported industry and/or Government sector cloud initiatives at an enterprise level.  
• One year within the past three years of experience defining organizational project cloud migration objectives and requirements that map to enterprise cloud vision and/or initiatives, establishing system architecture, ensuring information assurance compliance, directing, coordinating, and completing project efforts, interfacing with Government personnel, and providing progress reports. 
• Three years within the past five years of experience with commercial cloud service providers (Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure) in cloud-based disaster recovery (DR) and multi-region / multi-availability zone (AZ) high availability (HA). 
• Knowledge of governance and establishing policies and procedures 
• Ability to manage at a Platform level 
• Hands-On Experience with Agile System Development methodologies 
• Ability to prioritize and display a high level of adaptability/flexibility while handling job responsibilities 
• Proficient in the use of tools and methods to efficiently manage product releases, sprints, and development cycles. 
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, think creatively/about the big picture, and dedicated (do-er)

 

Desired Qualifications:

• PMP is required  
• SAFe certification is a plus 
• ServiceNow certification is a plus 
• Army or Intel Community experience is a plus
