Human Resources Generalist/Payroll Administrator

Description
Position Summary:
The CUBRC, Inc. Buffalo NY office has an immediate need for a Human Resources Generalist/Payroll Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of the HR department and serve as a key resource for employees and management. This role is responsible for a broad range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, performance management, and HR policy implementation. The ideal candidate is detail-orientated, approachable, and knowledgeable across multiple areas of human resources.
Primary Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate recruitment initiatives, including job postings, offers, background checks and file review.
Employee Relations
- Serve as a mid-level point of contact for employee questions and concerns and advisor to functional managers
- Support conflict resolution and promote a positive workplace culture
- Assist with investigations and disciplinary actions as needed
- Perform Exit Interviews
HR Administration
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data – including periodic audits of documentation and HRIS systems.
- Prepare HR reports, metrics, and documentation
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data protection standards
- Maintain the Human Resources SharePoint Page
- Maintain the Paylocity Employee Portal
Benefits & Compensation
- Administer the Open Enrollment process on an annual basis
- Answer employee questions related to benefits and compensation
- Payroll processing and 401k funding
- Process garnishments in the payroll system
- Review monthly benefits bills and coordinate with Human Resources Coordinator regarding any questions or outstanding issues
Compliance & Policy Management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
- Assist in developing, updating and enforcing HR policies and procedures
- Support audits and regulatory reporting requirements
Performance & Development
- Assist with performance review processes and documentation
- Support training and professional development initiatives
Other
- Support the Human Resources Manager in education employees and enforcing company policies
- Support the Human Resources Manager with any special (ad hoc) projects
- Report to the Human Resources about all Human resources endeavors
Salary:
- $62,000.00 - $74,000.00 annually – depending on experience.

Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Human Resources with minimum 4 years of experience in related area.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- The ability to problem-solve and seek resolution to issues as they arise.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to research and analyze information to be applied to situations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and HRIS systems.
