Senior Director, Health Economics and HTA, Fortrea Market Access & HEOR Consulting (MA&HEOR)

This individual will develop business in health economics and health technology assessment (HTA), within the MA&HEOR consulting group via networking, thought leadership, conference participation and existing relationships. The Senior Director develops business, leads select client projects and internal initiatives, and provides senior strategic direction and expertise on Consulting client engagements, internal requests and Fortrea business development. Duties include assessing client needs, scoping and budgeting projects, and directing project activities, directing the collection and analysis of primary and secondary data, formulating strategic advice for clients, overseeing the development of deliverables, and sharing findings in an effective manner. This role manages staff who are responsible for day-to-day project execution and delivery. The Senior Director shares responsibility for strategic planning and management of the group, and service delivery, and also may participate in company-wide business opportunities, advising on scientific or technical matters as requested.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop Fortrea business in MA&HEOR, especially in health economics, as well as participating in company-wide opportunities as needed
- Present capabilities, manage client relationships, prepare and review proposals, and close opportunities
- Oversee project execution and research, development of deliverables and supervise others executing on projects as needed
- Ensure that client requirements are met or exceeded, and projects meet budget, timeline and quality requirements
- Apply innovative solutions that address client needs and meet Fortrea objectives
- People management, including hiring, performance management, performance management, and capacity management
- Role as senior leader in the group, ie participating in senior staff meetings: setting group goals/targets; developing and maintaining Admin structure and processes; reviewing opportunities; cross-referring business and other activities as needed
- Collaborate with internal experts and teams to support company and/or client objectives
- And all other duties as needed or assigned
Required:
- Graduate level degree in field relevant to health economics
- Proven expertise in scientific and technical aspects of discipline and in research studies
- Track record of developing and managing business in consulting or similar environment; ability to challenge conventional thinking to solve client issues and develop solutions
- Strong communication and analytical skills; ability to analyze and understand complex client issues and develop and execute on solutions
- Experience and skills leading teams
- Ability to establish, maintain, and expand client relationships long-term
- Team player
- At least 15 years’ experience in respective field and at least 10 years’ experience in a consulting environment
- 10+ years’ experience managing people
- Broad knowledge of MA&HEOR space
- PhD may be preferred; scientific or technical knowledge and know-how in line with client expectations
- Strong management, problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Able to innovate and drive development of creative solutions to meet client need
- Publications record
- Ability and orientation toward working across various disciplines and teams to achieve client objectives
