    Director, Construction Management (Generation)

    Location: Flexible / Hybrid with travel to project sites

    Overview

    We are seeking a Director of Construction Management to lead the safe, compliant, and high-quality delivery of new power generation assets across a diverse portfolio—including gas, peaking, renewables, storage, and emerging technologies.This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for construction strategy and execution from late-stage engineering through commissioning and turnover to Operations. You will play a critical role in ensuring assets are delivered on time, on budget, and ready for reliable Day One performance.

    What You’ll Do

    Strategic Leadership

    • Lead enterprise-wide construction execution across multiple generation projects

    • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on risk, schedule, cost, and readiness

    • Establish best-in-class construction, safety, environmental, and quality standards

    Execution & Delivery

    • Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to design specs, permits, and regulatory requirements

    • Drive seamless coordination across contractors, OEMs, commissioning partners, and internal teams

    • Ensure disciplined turnover to Operations (care, custody, and control)

    Safety & Compliance

    • Champion a world-class safety culture aligned with OSHA and company standards

    • Ensure compliance with all environmental, regulatory, and utility requirements

    • Proactively identify and mitigate construction and commissioning risks

    Operational Excellence

    • Own construction budgets, forecasting, and cost controls

    • Monitor KPIs across safety, schedule, cost, and commissioning readiness

    • Resolve constructability and commissioning challenges in partnership with Engineering and PM

    People & Organization

    • Build and lead a high-performing team of construction leaders and quality professionals

    • Develop talent, workforce strategies, and contractor performance management practices

    • Support union and non-union workforce coordination aligned with labor agreements

    What You will Bring

    Required:

    • 12–15+ years of progressive experience in power generation or large industrial construction
    • Proven leadership delivering large, complex infrastructure projects
    • Strong knowledge of construction execution, commissioning, and regulatory compliance
    • Experience managing EPC contractors and third-party commissioning models
    • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders
    • Familiarity with union environments and utility labor strategies
    • PMP certification

    Preferred:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
