Description
Bariatric Data Entry Coordinator - Ensures that patient demographics, insurance information, medical records, and referral authorizations are entered into Epic accurately and in a timely fashion. The Bariatric Data Entry Coordinator acts as a liaison between Epic, ABSMC Bariatric Care Program and all other EHR systems. The Bariatric Data Entry Coordinator provides clerical support to the office to include patient scheduling functions, answering phones, insurance verification, ·and administrative office duties, as assigned.
Job Tasks: Coordinate entry of all patient demographic data from Sutterlink EMR system, referrals and authorization, and patient messages into JMH Epic; Enter manual charges from bariatric office visits to JMH Epic; Collect operative notes, face sheets, demographics, and other information from various hospitals and surgery centers for accurate charge entry and up-to-date recordkeeping; Coordinate processes and route all paperwork as required to meet physician, insurance, and facility requirements; Follow through on all clinician requests; Utilize all means to obtain copies of appropriate lab work, demographic data, and other information pertinent to the referral or order; Manage patient information flow; Perform all front desk administrative tasks, patient appointment scheduling functions, and answer screen, and forward calls, as needed; File and maintain accurate electronic copies of all records.

Performance Management: Bariatric Data Entry Coordinator - Performance is measured by:
- Ability to enter all information into Epic in an accurate and timely manner (2-3 days)
- Number of referrals pending demographic information
- Ability to enter charges in a timely manner (24-48 hours)
- Ability to load appointments on provider schedules at least one week in advance
- Ability to perform as liaison between BASS/FSC and ABSMC Bar
Critical Success Factors (CSF): To be successful, the Bariatric Oat Entry Coordinator must:

- Strive to complete all entries accurately (with no errors)

Key Process Ownership (KPO): Medical Records, Charge entry
Key Performance Indicators (KPI): All medical records and charges are entered in a timely manner, reduction in calls from referring providers/billing
Job Type: Temporary/Per Diem
Pay Range: $22.00/hour to $25.00/hour
