Job Title: Manager, Field HR

 

Job Summary:

The Field HR Manager has responsibility to provide consultative guidance to department managers and tactical execution in key HR areas such as Performance Management, Career Development, Employee Services, Labor Relations, Compensation and Benefits, Workforce Planning, and Employee Relations. The candidate ensures effective compliance with federal and state governing agencies and collaborates with business management and HR on the resolution of employee investigations. This position manages supervisors. The Field HR Manager provides consultative guidance for business management, especially Staff Managers, to develop resolution strategies for employee issues and concerns (e.g., performance, disciplinary action, etc.) in a timely and effective manner. The candidate establishes strong relationships with area business leaders to formulate area strategies incorporating the needs of each geography, identifying achievements, and addressing concerns. This position collaborates cross-functionally with business management to investigate, analyze, and resolve critical and complex concerns (e.g., potential legal risks, unfavorable trends, etc.) following the implementation of new processes and tools.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Develops implementation plans to ensure successful execution of Human Resources initiatives.
  • Seeks feedback from line management to ensure Human Resources initiatives are providing support and are focused on business priorities.
  • Manages candidates sourcing and workforce planning process to ensure requisition needs are promptly filled with high caliber candidates.
  • Evaluates recruiting strategies to evaluate success rates and foster process improvements.
  • Identifies individual and team skill gaps and developmental opportunities (e.g., training, special assignments, conferences, projects, etc.) to facilitate individual and team development.

 

Job Requirements:

  • U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Employer will not sponsor visas for position
  • Must be located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate
  • Must have a Bachelors degree (or internationally comparable degree) or a current TFF employee with experience
  • Experience in Human Resources
  • Willing to travel
  • Experience supervising others
  • Demonstrates a broad understanding of business requirements or critical elements of a problem; identifies the impact of a problem on multiple areas of the business; recommends improvements to existing processes or programs
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of injury and crash prevention techniques; demonstrates a working knowledge of job methods; identifies root causes of injuries/auto crashes and recommends appropriate prevention activities; identifies and corrects unsafe work practices and conditions
  • Understands how labor and employment laws impact specific jobs; describes current wage, hour, and benefit standards; identifies instances of non-compliance involving recruitment, interviewing, candidate selection, and discipline and follows procedures for resolving them; involves appropriate internal and external parties in resolving labor and employment issues
  • Utilizes talent acquisition practices; adjusts existing workforce plans to meet business needs; describes the impact of internal and external forces on future workers required by the organization; applies knowledge of employment specific laws and regulations
  • PHR, SPHR, or GPHR (or SHRM equivalent) certification - Preferred
