At Steer we are motivated by solving the complex problems that our US, Canadian, and international transportation infrastructure clients have. This helps to not only improve the journeys that people make but also the places where we all live. From working on an airport or rail business plan to a P3 toll road transaction, as well as research into using data to develop innovative behavioral change strategies, Steer is at the forefront of developing powerful answers to complex problems.
As a global leader in providing advice on transportation projects, we are looking for an experienced consultant to lead our North America data analysis practice. Successful candidates will lead teams providing professional services to senior-level private and public clients. We are interested in candidates with technical experience and client connections in:
- Commercial and technical leadership on data analysis and science related projects, including providing advice on ridership, traffic and revenue forecasts, behavioral change and/or data analytics;
- Regional or non-standard transportation planning projects;
- Economic Impact of major public infrastructure investments;
- Project management, including providing supervision and oversight to diverse teams.
Ideal candidates will have years of relevant experience with specific capabilities and client relationships within the transportation business in the US. Candidates that best fit this position will have assessed and shaped complex projects through working as a consultant or on the public-sector side.

Work Environment All Steer employees seeking a full-time opportunity are non-exempt, and encouraged to spend 60% of their time either in office or on-site with clients. An employee’s typical work week consists of 40 hours. Hours, expectations, and exemption status will be determined for any applicant seeking a part-time opportunity.
Requirements
Ideal candidates will have demonstratable experience in many of the points below:
- Senior position in the transportation sector, through consultancy, infrastructure advisory, and/or public sector;
- A thorough understanding of the transportation industry with a track record of delivering work for private (e.g. operators/investors, airlines/airports, rail operators, toll roads) or public sector agencies;
