Senior Trading Consultant

Volue is seeking a Senior Trading Consultant to help drive customer success and innovation in the energy trading space, with a focus on Volue PowerBot. In this role, you will work closely with leading energy companies across Europe, empowering them to manage, optimize, and trade their energy portfolios using Volue’s advanced software solutions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Sales, and Development to deliver tailored consulting services that maximize customer value and support Volue’s mission of enabling a sustainable tomorrow.  

What you will be doing to make a difference:

• Conduct specialized training and consulting primarily with Volue PowerBot, but also with other trading software to help customers maximize the full value of our solutions, improving trading performance and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with customers in various roles (e.g., traders, developers, risk managers) to understand their trading requirements and workflows, ensuring solutions are aligned with real-world needs.
• Support core Customer Success activities such as customer onboarding, monitoring, or conducting webinars, while contributing to the automation and improvement of internal processes.
• Maintain proactive communication with internal stakeholders (e.g., Product, Sales, Development) to foster collaboration and drive continuous improvement.

What you need to succeed:

• A master’s degree in IT, Business, Economics, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the energy industry or consulting.
• Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages, along with experience using data visualization and monitoring tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to customers.
• Experience with Volue trading software is a strong advantage.
• Strong team player with a growth mindset.
• Analytical reasoning skills, experience with data or statistical analysis is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to industry events or customers (approx. 1-2 days/month).
• Fluent in English (German or other European languages is a plus).

The position reports to the Lead Consultant PowerBot and cooperates closely with the Consulting team. We are looking to hire for Volue office in Vienna but will be ready to consider other locations for the right candidate.

For this position (38.5 hours per week), the monthly minimum salary, as per the collective agreement (IT KV), is 3843 EUR gross (14x annually, for full-time). Your actual salary will be individually negotiated based on your qualifications and experience.
