Position Overview:
The Executive director of Operations for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation will play a pivotal role in supporting the president and senior leadership team. This position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The executive director will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the Foundation, facilitating communication across departments, and driving key initiatives to support the Foundation’s mission.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the day-to-day management of special projects and initiatives as directed by the president and the senior vice presidents.
• Coordinate and manage the execution of strategic initiatives and projects across the Foundation, identifying areas for coordination and ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between departments to ensure project prioritization and alignment with organizational goals.
• Support the development and implementation of tools, policies, and procedures to enhance organizational performance and increase efficiency.
• Oversee the preparation of reports, presentations, analyses, and other materials for internal and external stakeholders.
• Represent the Foundation at meetings and events as needed, acting as a liaison with key stakeholders.
• Serve as a trusted adviser to the president and senior leadership team.
• Manage 1 or 2 colleagues.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, public policy, or a related field; an advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience in leading teams.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem solving, and analytic skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Comfortable working in a cross-matrixed system.
• Able to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
• Strong emotional quotient and maturity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software. Comfortable learning additional software and systems tools as needed (e.g., AI tools, Salesforce.)
The salary range for this position is $143,614.00 to $160,000.00. The actual salary paid for this position will vary based on market data, an applicant’s qualifications, relevant degrees, certifications, and other factors. Our full-time employees are eligible for benefits, including health care, vision, dental, retirement, and paid leave.
