This role is within our Residency Offering, which is a solution that provides strategic technical resources to our customers on a contractual basis.

  • Monthly rate of pay $10,000-$12,000 with benefits

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Proven experience as an SSAS Development/Administration with a focus on Data Warehousing.
  • Experience with multidimensional and Tabular cubes.
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL Server, T-SQL, MDX, and DAX.
  • Strong understanding of performance tuning methodologies.
  • Experience in configuring and maintaining SQL Server high availability and failover clustering.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders.
  • Advanced Microsoft certifications preferred.
  • Previous Consulting and/or customer-facing role.

SQL Server Required Skill Set:

  • Enterprise-level support and administration focused specifically on SQL performance and tuning optimization, Clustering, Always On Availability groups, High Availability, Core SQL + Migration, on-premise and cloud.
  • All versions of SQL Server (2012 and onwards).
  • Solving performance problems, query tuning, and optimization.
  • Architectural experience for Data Platform.
  • Architecting for High Availability and Disaster recovery solutions using FCI, Always on Availability groups.
  • Delivering and/or authoring technical training.
  • SQL Server Integration Services, Reporting Services, Analysis Services.
  • SQL Server on IaaS experience on Azure/Other public cloud.
  • Azure data factory, Azure SQLDB, Azure SQLDB Managed Instance, Azure Synapse knowledge is a plus.

SSAS/Data Warehouse/Reporting:

  • Design, develop, and maintain SSAS cubes, dimensions, and data models.
  • Multidimensional and tabular cubes.
  • MDX query writing, SSAS Performance, health checks/best practices.
  • Implement and optimize MDX and DAX queries for efficient data retrieval and analysis.
  • Work closely with business analysts to understand reporting requirements and translate them into SSAS solutions.
  • Scalability of SSAS and high availability of SSAS.
  • Power BI development and administration skills.

  • Storage management techniques.
  • Data Engine Capacity planning.
  • General database management, Policy management.
  • Windows Failover Clustering.
  • SQL Server Reporting service.
  • SQL Server Integration Service.
  • SQL Server Analysis Service.
  • MDX Query writing and tuning.
  • SSAS administration, best practices, and health checks.
  • Power Shell.
  • Overall, the SQL Server & SSAS Solution Architect role requires a high level of technical expertise and experience in SQL Server, Data Warehousing, and Analysis Services. The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong communication skills are also essential for interacting with stakeholders.
